People are always asking what the differences are between Queen Creek and San Tan Valley areas. The overall answer is not much. Considering they are a very short distance away from each other, there isn’t much difference.
However, San Tan Valley is not near shopping, parks, and other amazing things that Queen Creek has to offer. But, again, it is a very short distance. It all depends on where you want to go. You could be looking at a short 10-25 min drive. Furthermore, San Tan Valley is slightly farther away from Phoenix than Queen Creek. This means it will be a longer commute if you work in the city.
However, due to the growth of people working from home, it doesn’t always matter how far you are from your place of work. Since this trend, we have seen a much larger boom in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley area. This is due to fewer people being concerned about the commute. Not to mention these areas offer nicer, newer homes with larger yards than you find in the Gilbert, Mesa, and Chandler area at a lower cost.
Great Schools and Safety
Both the San Tan Valley and Queen Creek areas are known for their amazing school systems and overall safety. Because these two areas are more affordable than some of the others closer to Phoenix suburbs. Furthermore, you will notice that most of the residents are in their mid-30s with young families. As a result, there are many things in this area geared toward this age range. You’ll find many parks and recreational areas that help those in the area stay in shape and allow the kids to play.
If commuting to anywhere besides just the Phoenix area is a concern, you’ll probably want to stick with looking at homes in the Queen Creek area. However, if it is not a concern and you’d like to save a little more money, then the homes in San Tan Valley are just as nice and a bit more affordable. Furthermore, Queen Creek charges additional property tax that you won’t have to worry about in San Tan Valley.
Furthermore, if you like the idea of living in the country and more wide open spaces, you might want to consider San Tan Valley. This area isn’t as built up as the Queen Creek area, giving its residents a little more country feel with the more wide open spaces.
Queen Creek Vs. San Tan Valley
But, if you are used to having the convenience of stores and restaurants just outside your door, then you probably want to look at Queen Creek, as this is where most of the city life is located. While it isn’t that far of a commute, for some, that 10 minutes is pretty inconvenient. Not to mention you like to have your food and groceries delivered, as sometimes you will have to wait a bit longer for your order to be picked up. Not to worry, though, this area will soon be more built up over time, and it has built up a bit over the past few years. For your convenience, you can now find the basics, such as grocery stores nearby. Some even say it is the perfect cross between ruralization and urbanization.
More About the Area
Whether you are looking at Queen Creek or San Tan Valley, you can find a very nice home. Most of this area is fairly new. This means that the roads and businesses are also new, giving them a nice clean look. The homes have larger yards and are much more affordable than the suburbs closer to Phoenix. Not to mention that most of the residents here are also younger. This means that there are more activities to do as a family, young or old.
