Queen Creek residents can help influence the future of the community by participating in the citizen survey.
Over the next several weeks, residents will be randomly selected to complete the survey. There will be two methods to participate, over the phone or online. The Town has contracted with the firm WestGroup research to conduct the surveys.
“The Citizen Survey really is the Council’s report card,” shared Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley. “Not only does it help us guage our resident sentiment, it also helps us make informed decisions for the community that we love. I really do look forward to it every other year because the information is so valuable – I encourage residents to take the time to participate so we can have a continued understanding of community priorities.”
The survey, which will take approximately 15 minutes, includes questions about Town services, programs, customer service, and communication. The survey will also include demographic questions such as age, gender, income level and ZIP code; participants will not be asked to provide their name, address, social security number, or bank information. All responses will remain confidential; information will not be used for any other purpose or shared with other agencies.
Survey participants will be selected randomly; the survey can be completed in Spanish, if needed. Online participation will be prompted with a mailer containing a unique access code. Phone participation will be prompted with calls to both landlines and cell phones. Calls will be made during the daytime, in the evening and on the weekend in an effort to reach residents at convenient times.
To ensure an accurate sample is obtained that statistically represents the population of Queen Creek, 400 surveys will be completed. The survey information will be analyzed, and the findings will be presented at a future Town Council meeting.
