Living in the Town of Queen Creek has many amenities and residents will enjoy the following benefits:
- Public water is provided by the Town of Queen Creek
- Sewer services may be provided by the Town of Queen Creek unless the home is on property that is set up on a septic system
- Garbage and recycling services are available from the Town of Queen Creek
- Local law enforcement services are provided thanks to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office
- Fire and emergency medical services are provided by the Town of Queen Creek
- Residents are able to cast their vote in all Town of Queen Creek and Maricopa County elections
- Access to the Queen Creek Library, a Maricopa County Public Library
- Priority enrollment for A+ rated Queen Creek Public Schools
- Many public parks and trail systems are located within the Town of Queen Creek including the Pocket Park for Pups, the Queen Creek Splash Pad, Queen Creek Wash Trails, Desert Mountain Park and Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Center
If you live outside the Town of Queen Creek boundaries (see Do I Live in Queen Creek?) and you are considered a resident of Unincorporated Maricopa County otherwise known as County Islands, then your list of benefits or amenities may look different as compared to a resident of the Town of Queen Creek.
- Water utilities may be provided by the Town of Queen Creek, otherwise you may be on a private or shared well or your property may be serviced by a “private” water company.
- Sewer services may be provided by the Town of Queen Creek or Johnson Utilities or the property may be on a septic system
- Trash and recycling services will be determined by the HOA (homeowners association, if any) or by individual subscription
- Law enforcement services are provided by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office
- Fire and emergency medical services may be provided by the Town of Queen Creek as a part of the Queen Creek County Island Fire District
- If you are a resident of Maricopa County, then you will be privileged to vote in all Maricopa County elections.
If you live outside the Town of Queen Creek and do not live on a Maricopa County Island, then you likely live in San Tan Valley which is outside the Town of Queen Creek and located in Pinal County. Benefits and amenities available to San Tan Valley residents will be very different as compared to those available to Town of Queen Creek residents, and this should be taken into careful consideration as you decide where you would like to live or move. Residents of San Tan Valley in Pinal County:
- Water and sewer services in very few cases will be provided by the Town of Queen Creek, however, almost all of San Tan Valley in Pinal County is serviced by a “private” water company called Johnson Utilities, otherwise the home will be on a private or shared water well system and septic
- Trash and recycling services will be determined by the neighborhood HOA and/or individual subscription
- Law enforcement services will be provided by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office
- Fire and medical services are only available via a paid subscription service with Rural Metro Fire Department
- As a resident of San Tan Valley or Pinal County, you will be eligible to vote in Pinal County elections
