The local market insight tells us that the number of new listings in September 2012 dropped by 16.9% from August 2012, from 177 new listings down to only 147. The number of new contracts was also down by 2.2% from 138 in August, down to 135 in September. The number of closed sales fell 11.4% from August, from 114 closings to 101 closings in September. The great news is that the median sold price continues to gradually increase and was up to $126,000 in September, up 1.4% from August 2012 and up 23.5% from September of 2011. Our market is moving in an upward positive direction overall!
