Is Now a Good Time to Buy a House in Arizona?

Home prices may continue to rise, but housing supply may reach an all-time low. There is no definitive projection for how the Phoenix real estate market will appear in 2023, although the outlook is generally positive. Tight lending standards and a lack of inventory are a few explanations for the market’s current strength. Some people are wondering, is this a good time to buy?

Phoenix Real Estate

Many mix-use developments and high-rises have sprouted up, and public transit has been improved. Phoenix is also redeveloping its downtown to make it more urban. Rents in some communities have been progressively rising. $2400 a month is the average.
Mortgage rates significantly affect home sales, and historically, low-interest rates helped the latest real estate boom. However, the state’s real estate industry may suffer from rising mortgage rates.

Because there are more available homes, the Phoenix housing market will seem considerably different in 2023 than it does today. Furthermore, bidding battles may become a thing of the past. Regardless of the latest trends, the Phoenix market will be significantly cheaper in 2023. A stable climate and lower cost of living are enticing to many in the country. Because of this, I have seen many moving to the area despite the increased interest.

Changes in Work Status

As people settle in after the pandemic, it is apparent that working from home is staying. This means many people are looking for places to live that will better suit them personally, as their jobs can be performed anywhere. Due to this change, Arizona has seen an influx of newcomers.

Queen Creek and San Tan Valley are two of these areas that have been affected. While Phoenix provides a wonderful urban lifestyle, not everyone wants to live in it. However, being close by for a day trip now and again is something many people long for. Gone are the days that you have to worry about the daily commutes, meaning that you don’t have to live in as proximity as you once did. This makes this area perfect for newcomers.

Queen Creek and San Tan Valley are booming areas of Phoenix suburbs. While the interest rates have recently gone up and home prices are higher than they once were, that doesn’t mean it is a bad time. The housing market is forever changing, and buying that perfect home doesn’t necessarily have to be during an “ideal” buying time. Currently, it is a seller’s market, but we see many forecasts that show 2023 will cool down. Things will start to settle in more, and we won’t see the insane bidding wars and other issues we saw in 2021-2022.

When Is It a Great Time to Purchase a Home?

While the economy continues to expand, unemployment remains low due to the work-from-home environment. Arizona in 2021 was in the top three states with the most people working from home. Because of this, Arizona’s population is also growing.

Demand is driving up prices in addition to rising housing prices. Prices have begun to sore for the area due to a shortage of homes in the Phonix housing market. Despite these developments, Phoenix’s housing prices remain lower than in most other parts of the country. As a result, the market is primed for another housing boom shortly. It is still a wonderful opportunity to buy real estate in the Phoenix region. When is the greatest time to purchase a home in Arizona? It all boils down to where you’re looking, the type of property you want, and your budget.
