Montelena is a lovely, family oriented master-planned community located in the Town of Queen Creek, Arizona. It is truly one of the most desirable communities in the area featuring a neatly manicured entrance, cul-de-sac homes, and lots of green space. Close to 2 highly performing schools, with Desert Mountain Elementary on one side and Queen Creek Elementary on the other. It also boasts large open parks, walking trails and gorgeous mountain views. The neighborhood was started as the market was peaking around 2005 with 3 builders and many homes at the time were sold between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
Beazer built all luxury homes, many with basements, and none with 2 stories above ground. Standard Pacific offered a series on the east side of the community with smaller single story homes around 2600 square fee all the way up to much larger 2 story floorplans. And, Nicholas Homes built very large homes with the largest at almost 6000 square feet above ground! Nicholas eventually went under and now Maracay Homes is currently building brand new homes on the lots that are remaining.
