Permits for Single Family Homes in The Town of Queen Creek

Thanks to Jeff Brown, Queen Creek Town Council Member, for releasing the following data regarding permits for single family homes in the Town of Queen Creek. As you will see, the number of new permits for 2017 was down from 2016. It will be interesting to watch as we move forward into 2018 to see if the downward trend continues, or if permits will be on the rise once again. Permits for single family homes in the Town of Queen Creek were down 22% year over year, with 1098 permits granted in 2016 as compared to only 851 permits in 2017. Many buyers are still interested in new construction homes and they are attracted to the idea of personalizing the home as well as being the first owners to live there. However, there is often a lot of value to be gained by purchasing a resale home where someone else has paid for the upgrades and improvements because those often don’t translate into a dollar for dollar increase in the home’s value. There are quite a few buyers who cannot wait for a new home to be built from the ground up, and therefore, builder inventory homes or resale homes are their preferred option.

If you are thinking about buying a new home or possibly building a home from the ground up, please don’t hesitate to reach out for advice. We are here to help you make an educated decision on what your best options might be and will guide you through the home buying experience from start to finish.
